25 years’ experience: Founded in Brussels in 1985, Telelingua has over 25 years’ experience in the translation industry.

Services: Telelingua project manages translations of every kind, so besides translating documents in every language combination, we also offer all other services related to translation, i.e. terminology management, quality control, localization, creating and managing translation memories, advice on internationalization, technical advice, developing automation tools for document management, multilingual typesetting, document legalization, printing and distribution, and multilingual IT testing. Telelingua also offers interpreting services.

Over 1,500 clients: Telelingua offers its services to more than 1,500 clients across the globe in various sectors. Among these clients, there are some who have been working with us for 25 years. This mark of confidence demonstrates the solid and constructive working relationships we have built up with our clients through our commitment to providing a high-quality service.

Global presence: Telelingua, with its head office in Brussels, also has offices in Europe (Brussels, Paris and Munich), as well as in North America (New York) and Asia (Shenzhen, Beijing and Tokyo), ensuring a presence in the world’s major exporting areas and also proximity to our clients.

Global top 20: Telelingua is ranked in the world’s top 20 translation companies. As such, we can combine the advantages of a company small enough to offer a personal touch with the professionalism that comes from being one of the most important players in the translation industry.

Certification: Telelingua has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification and is also certified by SAP, the world leader in enterprise management systems. In 2006, SAP also named Telelingua as its Best Translation Partner.

Global Compact: Telelingua subscribed to the UN Global Compact Charter in 2009. This represents our commitment to respect and defend values that the United Nations have defined for business organisations to ensure a better world in the future. Telelingua was one of the first companies in Brussels to be awarded the ‘Ecodynamic Enterprise’ label for the steps it takes to protect the environment.

Fernand Boucau
President

Doctorate in Law from UCL, Belgium, Degree in Applied Economics. Worked as Group Marketing Director for Compagnie Financière Eternit and as Managing Director for Eternit UK. He founded the Telelingua Group in 1992, is the founder and former President of the BQTA (Belgian Quality Translation Association) and is also the former President of the EUATC (European Union of Associations of Translation Companies).

 

Jean-Didier Boucau
CEO

Degree in Business Engineering from IAG-UCL, Belgium, MBA from USC, Columbia South Carolina, USA. Worked for 7 years within the Unilever Group in sales and marketing roles. He then worked for 3 years at the Barry-Callebaut Group as Sales Manager and later as Retail Division Director, before taking over management of the Telelingua Group in 1998.

 

Thierry de Wouters
Managing Director Telelingua International in Brussels

Degree in Commercial Sciences from ICHEC, Belgium. Initially worked in the distribution sector. Joined Translate International (former name of Telelingua International) in 1991, where he held different sales and management positions before becoming Managing Director in 2001.

 

Jean-Paul Chapellet
Managing Director Telelingua France and 4T in Paris

After spending several years in the voluntary sector, he joined Active Text, the translation company which became Telelingua France after it was taken over in 2000. He held a number of positions within the company in production, before taking on responsibility for Operations and then Management.

 

Lionel Mellet
CEO Telelingua USA

Has over 25 years’ experience in the translation and localization industry, as well as in machine translation. He was formerly VP of Technology for Berlitz International. Prior to Berlitz, he was the Managing Director, Sales & Marketing, for Mendez Translations. From 1987 to 1995, Mr Mellet was the Program Manager at the International Engineering Center for Unisys Corporation based in Brussels, Belgium. He started his career in machine translation at Logos Corporation.

 

Luc Van Haute
VP Business Development Group

Has over 21 years’ experience in selling translation and localization services. He has helped many companies to automate the processes for large translation projects using CMS-related software. He was formerly VP Sales for SDL. Before moving to SDL, he was the Sales Manager for Mendez Translations and, prior to that, he set up the Berlitz Translation division in Benelux and France.

 

Dieter Dreiser
Managing Director Telelingua Deutschland in Munich

Has been active in the GILT (Globalisation, Internationalization, Localization and Translation) industry for the past 12 years. He has held positions including Regional Director Asia at Alpnet Inc., Director of Operations & Development Asia at eTranslate, Inc. and Director of Operations & Development Asia at Berlitz GlobalNET (now Lionbridge).
